Richard J. Dennis Post

Dennis Post was an American Legion sponsored hockey team in the early 1910s that competed against several locals including Auburn Post No. 30, East Side, Providence Hockey Club, Pawtucket Legion No. 4 and Barrington's Annawamscots outdoors on such venues as the East Side Rink , Roger Williams Park, Slater Park and Blackamore Pond in Cranston.  In 1922, Dennis Post, with former Classical and Technical stars Curley Oden and Captain Freethy, battled Auburn Post featuring former Hope High star Jimmy Hart and Elmwood Independent Ice Polo star Leo Cotter.  Auburn won 4-1 on Blackamore Pond in the third and deciding game of their series.
