Old Colony Hockey League
The OCHL (formerly the Weymouth Hockey League) was New England's oldest amateur hockey league played in Weymouth, MA. established in 1957-58. Games were played at the Weymouth Skating Club in South Weymouth, MA. Many senior star players from Rhode Island made the top teams. The 1962-63 teams included Brockton Stall and Dean (Don Hebert, Ed Stahowiak, Ray Ruggieri, John Rooney and Dick Ernst), Koch Club Wallaston, Weymouth (Russ McCurdy), Hingham Estes (Allan Soares, Tom Woodcock, Rod McGarry, Lou Lamoriello, John Kennedy, Ed Zifcak, Herb Kaufman), Holbrook Kingsmen and Braintree McMasters. They competed for the Salt Family Trophy.
