Premèire Femelle
On January 31, 1991 Cranston East forward Christine Haigh became the first girl to score a goal in the Rhode Island Interscholastic League when she scored in an 8-5 loss to Coventry High School. Haigh made history earlier in the season becoming the first girl to play for Cranston East High School. Haigh, who had played for five years in a local girl's hockey league, had said she tried out for the East squad with the simple goal of improving her skating. She did better than that and made history.
