Rhode Island Amateur Hockey Assoc.
The R.I. Amateur Hockey Association opened its season in 1951-52. Providence Red's Lou Pieri was league president. The league had seven teams including two informal college teams; Providence College and the University of Rhode Island. Dunnes East Siders and Providence College finished tied in the regular season. Dunnes topped Burrillville 3-1 on goals by Rollie Benjamin and Cliff "Kippy" Ingham to win the league championship trophy. Pieri also awarded trophies to Tommy Army and Bobby Riendeau for being top scorer and leading goalie.
